We offer a professional, caring, first class livery service for all levels of rider and our aim is to provide a friendly place where owners can enjoy their horse and riding, whatever they do, and relax with the peace of mind that their horse will be cared for to the highest standards. Lyford Stud offers a peaceful environment for you and your horse with the added benefit of the owners living on site.
Our facilities are available to hire to individuals and groups, trainers, clubs and event organisers and we hold regular competitions throughout the summer.
Located between the villages of Denchworth, Charney Bassett and Goosey, the yard is a short drive from Wantage, East Hanney, Stanford in the Vale, Kingston Bagpuize, Buckland and Faringdon. It is just 15-20 minutes drive from the A420 and A34 offering easy access to the M4 and M40 and a short drive from the Ridgeway National Trail.
Our Services
Livery your way
Lyford stud offer part and full livery with all horses cared for to the highest standards by experienced and knowledgeable staff. We can also offer short or long term holiday livery.
Full Livery:
Alongside all the part livery element, full livery also includes up to 5 days per week tailored exercise regime to suit your requirements (lunging, horse walker, schooling, hacking,
jumping etc).
Part Livery: what's included
- Free use of floodlit all weather dressage arena, horse walker, show jump paddock and cross country course
- Secure tack room
- Well ventilated indoor stable with rubber matting and automatic drinker
- Feeding, hay or haylage
- Turnout in well maintained fields all year round
- Mucking out. Shavings bedding
- Rug changing, turning out and bringing in
- Feeding of supplements provided by you
- Medicine administration and medical care when needed

Price: £40 per day
All services provided plus use of all facilities at Lyford Stud. Tailored exercise regime up to 5 days per week including lunging, horse walker, schooling, hacking and jumping.
Part Livery
Price: £26 per day
Take advantage of our range of livery services, keep your kit in our secure tack room, free use of floodlit all weather dressage arena, horse walker, show jump paddock and cross country course.
Holiday Livery
Price: £45 per day
Enjoy your holiday and rest assured your horse is being well cared for at Lyford Stud - from simple grass livery to full livery including maintaining fitness for your return.
